Welcome to my site at wincustomize.com. I enjoy graphic design, computers, skinning, skins, windowblinds, skinning object dock, and skinning anything. I like to customize by using skins, and anything else that I can get my hands on.

So I came across some screenshots of the Dell Dock and it looks a lot like the dock that I made for Eminence.  Did stardock rip/edit my graphics for this dock?

Here's what I think happend.  Stardock grabbed my background from Eminence, and cut out the center part where there is a gradient.  Then they just stretched the center over as to make a solid color, leaving the edges intact.

Assuming this is true: Is Stardock in the right to rip skins as they please?

Your thoughts?

Thanks,

Zero

PS: Where's the ToS? Could someone give me a link?

I just wanted to clarify a few things here.

First, I have a list of my favorite skins of all time that I require all Stardock Design artists to look at so that they can get an idea of what good skinning looks like.

Eminence is on that list.  So I would not be surprised that some UI creation used Eminence as a source of inspiration. Having taken a look at the images closely, I think I can safely say that they aren't the same but I also think that Eminence was an influence on the skin.

Eminence is, in my opinion, one of the best skins of all time.  That's why it's on my short list of skins that people should look at when making a proper UI.  I hope no one takes offense that their works influence and inspire others.
